Hanwell Zoo is an award winning animal centre in Ealing, West London. We are looking to recruit a new member to our highly successful team. The animal centre plays a key role in the local community and houses a number of exotic mammal and bird species.
We are looking for an individual with practical experience in a zoo setting to assist in the daily care and husbandry of the animal collection at Hanwell Zoo.
The successful candidate will have a relevant animal husbandry qualification or previous experience of working in a zoo environment.
The development of the animal collection and the education provision we provide has been key to the success of the animal centre.
The successful candidate would have to:
- demonstrate their strengths in the above areas
- demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills to interact with visitors
- a high level of customer care.
The successful candidate would also be expected to work with a number of community groups and volunteers on a regular basis.
