Job Summary
As a Food Packer you will support the operations by completing all assigned tasks in a timely manner while ensuring quality and meeting the required targets.
SPECIFIC DUTIES BY DEPARTMENT
PRODUCTION
-
Pack food liners in accordance with written specification
-
From specification, accurately make up sample and product for all classes
-
Conduct temperature, quality, and product date checks
-
Seal flight canisters, trolleys and record numbers
-
Ensure correct marshalling of flights to Dispatch bays in assigned stowing order
BOND/PICK & PACK
-
The receipt, handling and appropriate storage of all incoming goods and coordinating / managing stock

Sort and assemble bars into flights, working as a team to achieve targets

To check trolley seals and cross check with customs paperwork
DISHWASH/E&P
-
General washing, sorting, assembling, packing and positioning of the aircraft equipment
-
Process and strip trolleys and deliver to relevant department
-
Off loading and sorting equipment/food and ensuring it is delivered to the correct processing area
STORES/WAREHOUSE
-
To load / off-load lorries, stack shelves and replenish equipment/food items
-
From specification, accurately palletize shipments.

Conduct quality, and product date checks

Daily stock count of the list
-
Stock rotation
-
Clean the area
Qualifications:
-
Educated to High School level.
Work Experience
-
Good standard of English both written and verbal
-
Working knowledge of Basic Hygiene
-
Ideally some experience in a production/manufacturing/stores environment
-
Experience of working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment
Skills & Knowledge

Good understanding of English both reading and writing

About the role:

£10.02 per hour + benefits

Rotating Shift Patterns to cover earlies and lates

Early shift: 06:00am – 14:00pm, Late shift: 14:00pm – 22:00pm

Experience:

This would also suit anyone who has worked within dispatch, hygiene services or a warehouse related role.

Experience as a catering assistant, hospitality assistant, kitchen staff, picker, packer, or any catering related role is desirable but not essential.
All successful candidates must have the right to work in the UK, undertake a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) and provide 5 years referencing history.
