Highway Design/CAD Technician
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Highway Design/CAD Technician to join an Independently owned Transport Planning consultancy. Focused on working within the property development industry, such as retailers, house builders, private developers, and Landowners.
As a company they work with some of the UK's most successful development companies. Your role as Highway Design/CAD Technician will be responsible for
Preparation of technical drawings utilising AutoCAD
Preliminary design of access and basic junction design (Priority, roundabouts, signalisation)

Office Locations: London, Manchester, Birmingham
Key responsibilities for this Highway Design/CAD Technician role:
Preparation of technical drawings utilising AutoCAD
Preliminary design of access and basic junction design (priority, roundabouts, signalisation)
Production of other design drawings such as car parks, bus stations, footways, and cycle routes.
Swept path analysis using AutoTrack
Preparation of high-quality graphics using GUS packages and/or Corel Draw
Experience required for Highway Design/CAD Technician role:
Knowledge of relevant standards (DMRB/ MfS/ Local Transport Notes/ Traffic Signs Manual)
Good knowledge of AutoTrack software
Excellent communication skills
Good levels of numeracy and literacy
Preliminary designs
Formal education in either Civil Engineering, Geography or Transport Planning (HNC,HND,Degree)
