Job Description
Wykeham & Co are looking for an experienced Conveyancing assistant to join their small team at their office located is rural Wiltshire. You will be joining a friendly firm and will be rewarded with a competitive salary.
The role will be working as a Legal Assistant within the Conveyancing team supporting one of the solicitors. This will include communicating effectively with clients and solicitors over the telephone and via email. The successful candidate will be responsible for some elements of matter handling for the team also.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience of working within Residential Conveyancing. Responsibilities of this role will include opening files, using the case management system as instructed by the fee earner, typing dictation, conducting property searches and post completion formalities.The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator with strong organisational skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
Working Hours
The successful candidate will typically work 30 hours/4 days a week.
Criteria required
Ideally with a history of working in a residential conveyancing practice
Excellent customer service skills
Ability to work well as part of a team
Strong organisational skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Holiday entitlement
20 days plus bank holidays, as well as the period between Christmas and New Year
Salary: up to £23,000 (depending on experience)
