The Legislation Services Team at The National Archives is responsible for legislation.gov.uk, the official home of UK legislation. A free service covering new and revised legislation for the whole of the UK, it is a vital resource which has transformed public access to the law. Legislation underpins almost every area of life, and public access to the law is essential for every citizen who wishes to understand their rights and obligations.
For anyone with a passion for legislation there’s never been a better time to join the team. More people are using www.legislation.gov.ukthan ever before in order to stay up to date with changes in the law, and we’re developing exciting tools for the drafting of UK legislation, and new services to help our users navigate a rapidly changing Statute Book. Ensuring that new legislation is published accurately and efficiently is central to our role as official publisher of legislation, with statutory responsibility for the registration and publication of Statutory Instruments. We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Publishing Editor to ensure that we continue to provide a world-class legislation service.
