The Role

You will work closely with the Global Head of Private Equity Investments as well as Fidelity’s Portfolio Managers and Research Analysts in recommending and implementing mid-to-late-stage European Venture Capital investments on behalf of Fidelity funds. You will collaborate closely with Founders/CEOs/CFOs/Board Members, with other venture capital investors, and with investment banks in order to source investment ideas. You will lead the diligence and investment recommendations in coordination with Fidelity public research analysts. We are looking for someone to join our team in London.

The Value You Deliver

• Build relationships with Entrepreneurs/Founders/CEOs, other Venture Capital investors and Wall Street counterparts to ensure continued pipeline of European opportunities for the Fidelity Funds
• Perform deep due diligence and recommendations of investment opportunities, including financial modeling and valuation analysis
• Develop deep partnerships with Fidelity’s investment teams, including building trust with Fidelity Portfolio Managers who invest in private companies and collaboration with public side Research Analysts in evaluating private investment ideas
• Maintain positive relationships with our portfolio companies and serve as a trusted partner
• Act as deal captain; including review of terms of each venture capital investment, collaborating closely with legal on documentation, and ongoing maintenance and information flow for Fair Value purposes

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Experience investing in or analyzing private or public equity securities with a preference for growth equity, venture capital or banking experience
• Strong equity analysis skills coupled with first-hand corporate finance knowledge
• Demonstrated relationship skills and proven expertise working with internal and external partners such as Company Founders, Venture Capital investors, and Investment Banks
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
• Experience with structured transactions involving highly sophisticated securities
• Strong education credentials: MBA or JD/MBA or equivalent graduate degree preferred

Certifications:
