Light Style London is a wholesale company supplying decorative lighting products to businesses in the UK and EU. We pride ourselves in providing outstanding customer service and a quick turnaround in delivering orders. We are a young and energetic team with a friendly environment.
We have two storage units in the Croydon area with the main warehouse/office being located near Beddington Lane (CR0). We stock over 200 products that are shipped across the UK, EU and Worldwide.
The successful candidate should have proven professional expertise in the field of Warehouse and Logistics. With a successful track record in people management, development, health and safety compliance, and the accomplishment of implementing business goals.

The Role
We are looking for an experienced warehouse manager to lead our distribution centre. You will drive the current operations whilst looking for ways to improve efficiency and support growth. The warehouse manager must be able to achieve inventory accuracy, coordinate order fulfilment, and ensure fast shipping times throughout the year. The ideal candidate is exceptionally detail-oriented and able to manage multiple warehouse operations simultaneously.
As we are a small team, you are expected to manage and coordinate all aspects of the Warehouse from shipping goods to negotiating shipping contracts.
Key Tasks
- Ensure orders and product replacements fulfillment are carried out to a high standard
- Ensure that the warehouse operates at peak efficiency by establishing, monitoring, and managing operational goals
- Develop systems that will improve warehouse operations and efficiency
- Train and manage the warehouse staff to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals
- Ensure stock levels are kept up to date in the central inventory system
- Review and prepare workflows, stock space allocations, equipment layouts, staff requirements and action plans that meet company standards for productivity and quality
- Plan space requirements for container deliveries, manage offloading and re-stocking loose goods as palletised inventory on the racking system
- Manage and help with picking and packing (as needed)
- Help with preparation, transporting and building exhibition stands
- Move goods between warehouses (as needed)
- Operate the forklift and warehouse equipment
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to legal regulations
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping
- Schedule and oversee warehouse team, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency
- Oversee general warehouse maintenance at all times ensuring the equipment, tools and machinery are well maintained and organized at all times
- Communicate regularly with other departments to analyse productivity and develop actionable plans to ensure order and returns volumes are managed effectively
- Oversee and manage shipping partners and contracts to ensure the most cost and time services are being used
Required skills and qualifications
- Driving Licence
- High school diploma or equivalent
- A minimum of 3 years experience in warehouse management
- Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Enthusiastic
- Good analytical skills and attention to details
- Capable of working in a busy and changing environment and meeting deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments
- Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal
- Ability to comfortably use Google Sheets, Google Docs
Preferred skills and qualifications
- License to operate a Bendi forklift
- Knowledge of inventory control software (SAGE)
- Knowledge of Excell software
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From £35,000.00 per year
