A tertiary hospital at a prestigious NHS Trust is currently looking to hire a Consultant Geriatrician to join the elderly medicine department.
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated doctor to provide excellent care to geriatric patients. The Consultant Geriatrician will be responsible for the supervision and provision of high-quality care to elderly patients, including assessment and management of complex medical issues. You will provide leadership to both junior and senior doctors, as well as support to the multidisciplinary team.
The elderly medicine department is a busy and vibrant environment, offering a full range of medical services to elderly patients. Service activity includes the provision of medical care and support to elderly patients in acute and community settings, as well as the delivery of care in the emergency department. You will be working in a highly-skilled team of dedicated professionals, and you will have the opportunity to develop your clinical and managerial skills.
The successful candidate will have a broad range of clinical and managerial skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work independently and as part of a team is also essential. We require a doctor with a full GMC registration and specialist registration in Geriatric Medicine.
