In this role, you’ll combine a community spirit and a passion for customer service, working alongside your team to serve your community, keep customers happy and ensure the store is hits its targets. You’ll take pride in your team, building an inclusive culture that encourages engagement and personal development for colleagues to reach their full potential. Some of your duties will include (but are not limited to):
- Taking full responsibility for the performance and day-to-day operations of your store
- Motivating and encouraging your team to support the achievement of the key performance indicators for the store
- Effectively delegating workloads and organising store schedules over a four-weekly period
- Ensuring and providing excellent customer service, setting the standard for your team and inspiring them to achieve it
- Coaching your team to be passionate and knowledgeable about the products in your store, by building our brand and providing customers with great availability, freshness, and service to ensure they come back for more
- Working towards our purpose and approach, by being helpful, inspiring and trustworthy in any given situation
Our Store Managers are role models for their teams, and therefore need to be enthusiastic and motivating leaders. You'll be proactive in your approach to deliver superb customer service and promote outstanding store performance, to ensure our customers and members have the best experience possible. You’ll need to show us:
- Previous experience in a similar environment of leading and developing a team in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Excellent time-management, delegation, and problem-solving skills
- A customer-focused manner, always prioritising the customer experience
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to be organised and adaptable, working several tasks to tight deadlines
- A substantial understanding and up to date knowledge of commercial, visual, operational and people processes and systems
- An engaging leadership style; being a strong coach and mentor to all colleagues.
You’ll need to be over 18 years old to be a Food Store Manager, as you’ll need to authorise age-related sales.
Interviews for this role will take place week commencing 20th February 2023.
