Full Time Consultant Breast Radiologist
Although this post is full-time, consideration will be given to applicants who require flexible working arrangements.
The post holder will have sessions as both the Breast Centre - a dedicated purpose-built centre - and the Breast Test Wales screening centre situated in the centre of the city. Both centres consist of clinic rooms, state-of-the-art radiology facilities, counselling rooms, multidisciplinary teaching room, offices for staff, and at the Breast Centre there is a gym facility for patient's exercise prescription service. The centre currently has four full-time Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeons and a Specialty Doctor. Both units have active multidisciplinary teams with dedicated Breast Care Nurses, research team, and a physiotherapist. There is close working with plastic surgery colleagues in the neighbouring cities and the All Wales Genetics Service. Oncology services are delivered at our neighbouring Hospital site. The post holder will work with the current Consultants in consolidating the secondary care service of the symptomatic breast service as well as in Breast Test Wales contributing to delivery of the All Wales population breast cancer screening programme.

GMC Registration with License to Practice
Previous NHS experience is desirable
Applicants should either be on the Specialist Register or be a Specialist Registrar within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT / CESR(CP) at the time of interview.

You will be able to take advantage of the excellent Consultant contract for Wales. The basic salary range for this post is £82,356 per annum to £106,920 per annum plus a further £26,672 per annum available in Commitment Awards. Consultants in Wales paid on one of the first three points of the substantive Consultant pay scale also receive a Wales recruitment incentive payment.
