Head of Year
A Leadership TLR will be available for a suitably qualified candidate to lead Year 11 from September 2023
Start Date: As soon as possible
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (08:00 AM – 16:00)
Salary: Band 3 - £28,400 - £30,451 (Full Time Equivalent) Dependent on Experience
£26,275 - £28,173 (Actual Salary)
Contract: Permanent – Full Time, Term Time (including INSET) plus 3 weeks
Conditions of Service: United Learning Contract
The Academy is based in Eccles, Manchester, just off Junction 11 of the M60 – Manchester’s ring road. It serves a predominantly white working class population and the proportion of students eligible for student premium funding is above national average. The proportion of students with special educational needs is in line with national average.

What we are looking for:
Salford City Academy are seeking to appoint an outstanding Head of Year to support and promote positive student attitudes to learning, providing a complementary service to existing teachers and support staff. The successful candidate will have the ability to work flexibly in a team situation whilst being able to prioritise, show initiative and work independently, ensuring key routine tasks are achieved within deadlines. The academy is a positive environment where no 2 days will be the same, the right candidate will adapt to the demands of each day and display a proactive attitude always looking to be proactive.
