Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a talented Head of Control Tower to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Gotham site, working for our customer – Saint Gobain Interior Solutions (working hours Monday – Friday 40 hours per week).

What you’ll do on a typical day:
Integrate the Central planning function
- Maximise the integrated use of the SGIS Network

Reduce subcon spend in line with budget

Increase gain share in excess of the budgeted minimum

Ensure successful deployment of an optimisation tool

Work closely with the GM as a second in command
There is an expectation that the following objectives will be reached in year one:
Reduction in Subcontracted cost per load to budget
- Increase in Back Haul revenue and gainshare above the minimum budgeted figure

Cost reduction or replacement of Celotex Sub contraction

Implementation of optimisation across the whole SGIS Network

Become second in command to the GM
What you need to succeed at XPO:
Evidence of operational management experience-
Be entrepreneurial – must be able to run the network like their own business

Have excellent planning knowledge – must be able to pull a plan to pieces and spot the inefficiencies

Have excellent knowledge of planning tools (WTS or Paragon)

Be able to build and develop a team
- Effectively communicate with all staff & stakeholders
