Senior Support Worker needed for our friendly team, in Braunstone, Leicester
Camden Road, Leicester, is home to 8 young autistic adults. Our expert support and structured environments enable them to develop their skills, confidence and independence and to live full lives in our community. They all have very different needs, interests, goals and levels of support. They may need support with managing finances, medication, health needs, cleaning and some personal care
The role includes:
- Working as part of a team, sharing responsibility fairly and being supportive of others.
- Providing support to the people who live at the service which positively impacts their health and wellbeing, whilst enabling them to fulfil their potential.
- Developing person centred working relationships with the individuals and actively encouraging and supporting meaningful activities and skills, both inside and outside the service, in accordance with their interests, choices and needs.
- Supporting with mentoring, development and supervision of team members.
- Assisting with day-day management of running a responsive service and supporting with the development of the service.
You will need to be aware of the role of the relevant care regulatory body (CQC) and the statutory standards required for the work setting.
Your working pattern will be 37hrs varied over a seven-day rota. This will be mixture of shifts and will include some weekends and bank holidays. (Our early shift starts at 7.15am and our lates finish at 9.30pm)

Successful applicants will be required to complete the relevant safeguarding checks which will include references and DBS check. If successful, you will also need to commit to our 3-day Safeguarding training.
This role is based in a care setting - successful candidates will be required to provide evidence of Covid-19 vaccination or medical exemption.
