Job Description

Main duties of the job

The PPU Enquiries and Sales Office is responsible for the consistent successful, efficient, effective and accurate interception, logging, handling and booking of all incoming UK based and international enquiries and referrals received into the unit seeking advice, price quotations, treatments and services within our unit. Those leads are received via our marketing initiatives via all different mediums and platforms employed; digital and non digital marketing campaigns.
The team is responsible for converting referrals into bookings across both of our unit’s sites; Royal Free Hospital and Hadley Wood Hospital liaising directly with PPU consultants and their teams as well as with relevant PPU clinical and admin teams in addition to other trust’s clinical and admin teams as relevant to plan converted referrals’ private care episodes, working with PPU senior finance team to cost and quote private self pay care episodes, liaising with private medical insurance providers to authorise and extend private care financial cover all while delivering consistent world class customer care to all of PPU service users and stakeholders; internal and external in compliance with all of the trust’s clinical and information governance policies with the aim of maximising PPU return on marketing investment and business development initiatives supporting the uptake of RF private healthcare services generating revenue for PPU to deliver on the stipulated financial targets as set by the trust’s GEC.

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience..
    • Strong working knowledge and professional proficiency in the use of; Outlook package – Power point, Excel, Microsoft Word as well as Access, email, Internet
Desirable criteria
    • Courses / further study attended to demonstrate evidence of personal development e.g. certificate in medical terminology

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience in working in a front of house customer facing, sales driven call centre or sales teams in the private healthcare sector
  • Experience in working within return on investment led sales oriented services/teams
  • Experience of managing and prioritising own workload, working to deadlines and working under pressure
  • Experience and proven record of successful interaction and liaison with all levels of staff
  • Substantial experience of dealing with the public
  • Substantial experience of dealing with the public
  • Substantial experience in a customer service environment
  • Experience of handling difficult or pressurised situations
  • Understanding of the requirements regarding patient confidentiality
