Assistant Social Media Manager

Role Purpose:

As the Assistant Social Media Manager, you will report to the Social Media Manager and support the social media team to ensure brand, own brand, healthcare and exclusives are all represented across our social media channels, through highly engageable content.
A typical day in this role includes:
Work with the Social Media Manager & Team to plan and implement the social media strategy with the goal to drive growth, engagement and click-to-site (to SD website) across the Superdrug social media channels.
Produce and execute always-on content creation, through shooting, filming and editing social posts & videos to maximise engagement and react quickly to trends.
Spotting up and coming social media trends and influencers and create content to put our brands at the forefront of beauty and wellness trends
Lead with approving, creating, and scheduling social content across multiple channels, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat & Pinterest.
Be the key contact for suppliers and brands, providing guidance on best-in-class social media activity, to ensure brand guidelines and tone of voice are implemented across all Superdrug social media channels.
Ensure Superdrug Own Brand, Healthcare and Exclusive products are represented across all social media channels.
Research emerging social media platforms and trends.
Attending brand events and experiences to create content for Superdrug social media channels.
Support the Customer Experience team to improve community management.
Demonstrate perception to management in the absence of the Social Media Manager and when representing the team in internal/supplier meetings.
Build and maintain good working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll need:
2+ years’ experience working in social media.
A degree in a creative / business field would be valuable
You will understand the core principles of social media & social media platforms
