What will the apprentice be doing?
- Use analytical techniques and instrumentation, such as: Ion chromatography / Spectroscopy (infrared and ultraviolet, amongst others)
- Interpreting data and adhering to strict guidelines on documentation when recording data
- Reporting scientific results
- Use a range of analytical techniques, instrumentation and software
- Develop new techniques for the analysis of drug products and chemicals
- Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Laboratory technician level 3 standard.
You will be working towards the Laboratory Technician Apprenticeship at Level 3, which will be supported by both a mentor within the School and your Apprenticeship Assessor.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Potential full time employment.
