Associate Software Engineer - API's

Hybrid working with base location as either Edinburgh, Manchester, Coventry, Milton Keynes, Widnes and London
In a nutshell
As an Associate Software Engineer, you will help support the development of applications and tools across production and non-production environments, including but not limited to the modernisation of existing applications. The engineer will be working in accordance with SBAFS development methodologies and leveraging industry best practices, tools, and infrastructure to deliver high quality end products.
What you need to do
- Self-starter working on semi-routine tasks of moderate scope. Investigates issues by analysing situations following defined procedures.
- Contributions may be small and part of a larger system with guidance and support from more senior engineers.
- Contributes to community content, health, and moderated discussion.
- Understands stakeholder requirements and manages expectations for their work., whilst communicating in a timely & professional fashion.
- Delivers solutions to meet specific outcomes as defined by acceptance criteria.
- Produce internal documentation for assigned tasks consistent with our engineering processes.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of Software Development Processes.
- Receives general instruction on routine work and details guidance on new assignments.
- Applies developed practices and acquired techniques to complete complicated assignments.

What you need to know and show
This role is an entry-level role, therefore the candidate will be required to -
- Ideally have some technical experience (this may include home projects) and is looking to upskill to get experience with software development and cloud technologies.
- Understands there is value in different ways of working and is looking to upskill to get experience with cultural excellence (Agile, Remote First, DevOps, SRE).
- Consumes and practices knowledge base content and best practice.
