Job Description
Major Recruitment hiring Warehouse Operatives in partnership with Whistl, UK’s Leading Logistics Specialist in Fulfilment, Contact Centres, Mail and Parcels.
Role:
To carry out all activities within the depot as instructed by their supervisors/managers in line with company standard operating procedures, in a timely and efficient manner so as to ensure consistent achievement of the volume, quality and efficiency targets to deliver the highest quality, most cost effective offering for customers across all products.
- To deliver a high quality warehouse service to our customers ensuring that products are sorted and assembled correctly to the company guidelines.
- Adhere to work schedule issued by the management team alerting them to any issues or concerns.
- Ensure that goods are received into the warehouse to set company guidelines.
- Ensure that goods are stored within the warehouse to the set company guidelines.
- To seek to understand and be able to help implement all functions within the warehouse.
- Act in a professional and courteous manner when dealing with both internal and external customers.
- Attend and participate in team meetings, and communication within warehouse team as requested.
- Actively participate in any developmental training as required in compliance with the Company’s commitment to Continuous Improvement and the Investor in People standard.
- Undertake housekeeping activities within the Depot ensuring the working environment is kept secure, clean and tidy. Ensure a calm, competent, safe and professional work space environment.
- Work in conjunction with Supervisor and Team Leader to record and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as per company specification to agreed deadlines.
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external regulatory requirements, e.g. Safety; Health and Environment regulations; Carriage of Dangerous Goods regulations; and, Data Protection and Information Security regulations etc.
- Comply with all Health, Safety and Environment policies and other relevant regulations ensuring accurate recording and reporting of any incidents, accidents or near misses.
Undertake all reasonable requests of management.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £10.73-£21.46 per hour
