Learning & Development Manager – 12-month Fixed Term Contract

As a Barclays Learning & Development Manager this is an exciting opportunity where you will be assisting the readiness and upskilling of HR, HR Technology, and colleagues in line with operating model and process changes. As a Learning & Development Manager, you will be developing, together with a wider team of training developers and business SMEs, the required global and local training collaterals for HR, HR Technology, and non-HR (colleagues, line managers and senior leaders) based on the designed Training Curriculum.

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We’re flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. Depending on your team, typically this means that colleagues spend a minimum of between 20% to 60% of their time in the office, which could be over a week, a month, or a quarter. However, some colleagues may choose to spend more time in the office over a typical period than their role type requires. We also have a flexible working process where, subject to business needs, all colleagues globally can request work patterns to reflect their personal circumstances. What will you be doing?
• Developing applicable training collaterals (e.g., how-to-guides, reference guides), including Train-the-Trainers (TTT)
- Working in collaboration with Design team to review and ensure accuracy of training materials content, in line with designed technology and processes architecture and Design documents
- Facilitating Train-the-Trainers (TTT) sessions in collaboration with the other Training Delivery Managers and TTT facilitators
- Delivering user training sessions based on the pre-defined training curriculum
- Leading and assisting wider group of trainer’s part of Train-the-Trainers (TTT)
- Contributing to the development of the Train-the-Trainers (TTT) approach
- Driving the localisation of the training collateral based on the identified local requirements by engaging with the programme during the Design phase
What we’re looking for:
• Demonstrated experience of delivering training sessions in a hybrid setting and audience management
- Has the experience and ability to develop training content and collateral in line with process and technology scope of change
- Ability to engage and communicate to impart information and training to audiences made up of diverse backgrounds, explaining difficult concepts in simple terms
Skills that will help you in the role:
• Knowledge in HR organisation and processes
- Ability to work across multiple work streams, division, and geography
- Solid team working skills, including working effectively within an active remote team
