This HR Director role supports our European footprint for Honeywell Building Solutions (approx.. $600m revenue; 2500 employees). As a “hands-on” HR Director, you will play an essential role partnering with the Regional General Managers for our Projects and Services business, as well as the Sales Leader. The role is part of the HR Leadership team of HBS and will align with the overall strategy to lead HR initiatives involving strategic transformation, change management, stakeholder engagement, anticipating risks, and managing projects.
The role will report directly to the Vice President, HR for Honeywell Business Solutions.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Partners with senior client leaders to build a strategic talent plan, aligned to the client organization’s strategy for the different parts of the business in the region in close alignment with the Senior HR leaders who support Projects, Services and Sales
- Acts as a trusted advisor and coach to the client leadership team while building deep business understanding and relationships, resulting in strategic alignment with the organization as well as organizational trust in, and partnership with, the HR function.
- Critical part of the role is also aligning the available HR Generalist resources under the One-Country HR model, monitoring their goals, performance and streamlining their work, in collaboration with their local supervisors
- Aligns organizational workforce plans with Talent Acquisition planning processes and financial deliverables for the different GBEs
- Supports LER activities and participates in EWC meetings, plans and mitigations
- Uses comprehensive data and insights to inform business cases for changes to talent strategies or practices. Decisions and recommendations are informed by data, leading to improved outcomes and buy in. Talent implications are evaluated as part of the senior leadership team’s decision-making process.
- Facilitates large-scale talent-related change management activities, driven by the business unites. Evaluates the impact of proposed changes on employees; advises the client groups on alternatives and change management.
- Partners with senior client group leaders and the GBE HR Leaders to design organizational structure, job roles, and talent management processes to drive business unit performance.
- Lead succession planning , talent development and engagement strategies for the client group, identifying critical roles & preparing potential talent and pipelines for mentoring, training, etc.
- Foster and drive performance driven culture across heavily matrixed, sophisticated org structure
You must have
- Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree is desired, and an MBA will provide a significant advantage in connecting to the business leaders
- Progressive HR experience within a Matrix Organisation.
- Demonstrated HR experience in a multi-business unit environment
- Experience leading HR activities in an environment of transformation and change
- Strategic thinker with strong practical judgment and outstanding analytical and data processing skills
- Proven track record of quickly being able to build relationships and establish trust with senior management and executives
- Ability to collaborate with and influence peers
- Capable of planning and managing projects with attention to achieving timely, cost-effective outcomes
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing work accordingly.
- Ability to adapt to changes in the organizational environment
- Willingness to travel for up to 20-30% of their time
