Cambridge Hospital | Radiology | Permanent contract | Full time

Depending on experience

37.5 hours per week

Our state of the art hospital, is central Cambridge’s premium private hospital, boasting an Outstanding CQC score and offer a full range of medical and surgical specialities. With expertise in Cancer care and Cancer surgery, Orthopaedic surgery (including robotic surgery), Neurosurgery, as well as specialist Paediatric services. Recently having secured a partnership with the Royal Papworth NHS Trust we will see growth in our Cardiology services and aim to expand our current speciality in this field.

Hospital facilities include 4 state of the art digital theatres, 36 bed ward, Day case theatre/endoscopy suite, oncology unit and a very busy outpatient department which includes diagnostic imaging.

Backed by the latest diagnostic imaging facilities including X-ray, mammography, ultrasound, wide bore MRI and CT scanning, we offer immediate assessment and expert diagnosis.

As a Radiology Assistant at Cambridge you will;

Facilitate our high-quality ultrasound service ensuring a high level of patient care, respect and dignity
Undertake appointment bookings
Work closely with our Consultant Radiologists, Radiographers and Administration team
Be involved with clinical audit and other administrative duties relating to your role
Accurately input data into radiology software CRIS, patient management software PIMS to ensure correct billing of patients
Provide a service of the highest quality, delivered with sensitivity and compassion

The Person

To succeed as a Radiology Assistant at Cambridge you will have;

Minimum Level 2 Qualification in Healthcare

Experience within a work environment, preferably within a customer focused / people focused setting.

Basic IT skills

A caring nature – to see each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy
Willingness to undertake non-clinical tasks to ensure the safe and effective running of the Radiology department
Work well within a close, supportive team. Willing to go the extra mile to ensure the patient has a positive experience
Attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
