About Maintech and the Role:
Maintech provides data center computer system and LAN/WAN services to mission critical, multi-vendor, multi-site applications in the Financial, Telecommunications and Research and Development markets. This position will be focused on server repair and maintenance in a data center location.
We are looking for a self-motivated, dedicated individual who is ready to put their technical skills to work in a fast-paced, customer focused environment. Candidates must be able to work a rotating on-call 24/7 schedule as needed. - Provides 1st and 2nd level 24/7 break-fix support for IT hardware as specified by or utilized in customer environment
- Analyzes, diagnoses, and troubleshoots hardware/server issues with focus on responsiveness; provides issue resolution
- Maintains inventory and documentation of activity
- Escalates more complex issues to 3nd level tech support
- Assists with server installations as needed
- Maintains active control of client and Maintech parts and handles all parts in accordance with client processes and procedures
Experience and Skills Required:
- 1 year servicing IT clients in a data center environment
- Servicing X86 server hardware as specified or utilized in client environment
- Familiarity with ticket-tracking software
- Server Installation and Cabling experience
- Certifications as required for client/technology
- Learn and become proficient with Maintech’s infrastructure system, eMaintech
- Possess good customer communication skills
- Ability to guide others
- Problem solving and self-management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Capability to travel to remote locations
