The Technical Manager (Food Safety) will make a significant contribution in supporting our convenient stores to uphold all elements of food safety and legality. The Technical Manager will report into the Senior Compliance and Audit Manager for McColl's to ensure the safety of our customers, colleagues and the legality of the brand whilst working with external and internal stakeholders to meet objectives and drive improvements in compliance.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Proactively build engagement with the senior teams
- Manage and coordinate activity where serious safety or legality concerns have been identified
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Manage the Stores at Risk process, audits and investigation reports
- Proactively identify any training requirements and support the development of new training packages
- Improve Food Safety standards across all stores
- Manage the Food Hygiene Rating Scheme Improvement plan
This is an office based role operating over a 4 day working week. This role is based at our fantastic head office in Bradford. Boasting an on-site restaurant, coffee shop, convenience and sample store, prayer room, free parking and regular company-wide events and promotions. Ideally, applicants will live within a reasonable distance of our office.
