We are currently seeking proactive and resilient individuals to join this team in the role of Agriculture Relationship Manager.
The Agriculture Relationship Manager will manage and develop a portfolio of commercial agricultural relationships, taking responsibility for the acquisition of new clients and building HSBCs profile in the agricultural community. All business transactions must be sensitively matched to our customers’ needs while delivering excellent customer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Face to face meetings with Agriculture customers with an average of 50-60 clients in portfolio
- Managing a portfolio with income values of approximately £1m and Agriculture clients with a £2-15m turnover
- Driving revenue growth through understanding customer needs and by adopting a needs-based approach which engages clients and increases new business
- Growing the business sustainably, by identifying opportunities to expand a portfolio and broaden client relationships by leveraging HSBC's extensive network
- Building a strong understanding of the client's business and industry to promote insights, enrich client conversations and deliver fair outcomes
- Comprehensive understanding of the client through pro-active credit risk assessments and customer due diligence reviews
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
- Experience of working in an Agricultural or Relationship Management role
- Commercial Banking or relevant Commercial experience
- An understanding / evidence of Commercial lending £300k+
- A track record of delivering excellent customer service while proactively looking for ways to improve this service
- Experience of building effective networks across business areas, developing relationships based on mutual trust and encouraging others to do the same
- A strong understanding of risk management and proven experience of ensuring own/others' compliance with relevant regulatory processes
- The ideal candidate for this role will have the skills and experience detailed above, however the trainee position provides some flexibility in the requirements.
This is a hybrid role requiring travel across the North East Region (Teesside to Northumberland), therefore a full UK driving licence is essential. A flexible working pattern will be considered.
