We are currently looking for an enthusiastic Social Work Assistant to join our Children with Disabilities Team here in Doncaster.

The Children with Disabilities Team is a specialist social work team. We work with some of the most severely disabled children and their families; working with children in need, children subject to child protection plans, looked after children, care proceedings and children with a plan of adoption.
The role of the social work assistant in the team will include supporting social workers with their daily duties including co-working with children, young people and families, supporting social workers with home visits, obtaining information from professionals and attending multi agency meetings, direct work with children and young people, providing parenting advice and support directly to parents and carers, completing lifestory work for looked after children and providing general support to the team.
Whilst experience of working with children with disabilities is desirable, it is not essential for the post.
