Overview
We are looking for a Fleet Manager to join our team in Gloucester.
How will you contribute?
- Ensure all vehicles and trailers are Inspected at the correct intervals complying with O Licence across the contract at all operating sites
- Update wall service planners when documentation is received – service sheet, MOT certs or statutory tachograph checks
- Ensure all completed service sheets are received in good time from the suppliers
- Review estimates received from 3 rd party workshops for PAYG fleet and authorise as appropriate.
- Act as contract point of contact for Rivus for authorisations on any R&M fleet under their control
- Book tachograph calibrations as necessary a week prior to expiry
- Consult with Shift Managers when planning upcoming inspections for minimal impact on day to day operations.
- Book MOT tests.
- Request updated fleet list from Fleet Admin Doncaster to ensure any fleet movements have been processed
- Ensure vehicle tax is renewed in partnership with Fleet Admin.
- Ensure all short term hire vehicles are compliant with O licence standards.
- Update Shift Managers when fleet is ready to collect from workshops
- Support/ with the Finance Team with customer cost challenges around fleet with any movement to code to the correct cost centre
- Produce documentation to present to drivers to assist understanding of infringements to ensure drivers hours are managed
- Drivers with repeated errors should be given instruction / guidance and this recorded, re-training where necessary
- Monitor the Wincanton 6 month licence check for on time completion
- Request vehicle tachograph unit downloads are carried out if necessary and uploaded to FTA
- Update via FTA Vision for driver holidays, sickness or other absence
- Account for all missing kms on FTA vision. Request additional vehicle unit downloads to ensure all kms are captured
- Assist with maintaining and updating Personnel Files and Training Files as necessary
- Issue invitations, award letters and minutes to employees as appropriate. This includes preparation of letters on behalf of Shift Managers if required
What will you bring?
- Experience transport operations and a similar role
- CPC licence holder or working towards having already a National CPC
- Good communication skills
- Strong organisational skills
