CogX Platform provides a way to cut through the social media noise. Whilst powerful, social media platforms lack curation & personalisation making it overwhelming to navigate. CogX is building a new social media platform for professionals that’s curated so you can stay current without the noise of social media. Engage with the latest news and expert views, discover, connect and collaborate, all in the palm of your hand.

CogX Festival - The world's largest festival of inspiration, impact & change across Transformational Technologies. In the past 6 years the Festival has had over 1,000 speakers across each event, over 20,000 in-person attendees and over 850,000 online viewers of its 2021 edition. For 2022 coming out of the Pandemic we showcased 300+ speakers to 6,000 attendees across 20 inspiring topics from leadership to ethics to health and our planet and all addressing the question "How do we get the next 10 years right?".

The event combines the magic of an in-person experience and exclusive side events with a broadcast scale reach of 5m catch up online audience. We have exciting plans for 2023 where we expect to scale up to over 1,000 speakers, 15 stages and an in-person audience of over 90,000 over 3 days.

Our previous world class speakers included Tony Fadell, John Kerry, Mary Robinson and Daphne Koller to name a few. Our community & alumni partners have an array of global organisations and include Google, Sony, Vice, Goldman Sachs, BBC, Barclays, ThoughtWorks, BT, NHS, Tesla, Warner Music Group, PWC and Microsoft. We are backed by the UK’s most successful investors.

At CogX we address the most critical challenges and opportunities of our time, whilst driving and galvanising the partnerships needed to make a difference to our mission statement. This is supported by 35 amazing people that make up our team and we are now doubling in size whilst moving to our series A funding round.

Key Responsibilities


ABOUT THE ROLE

In this role you will be more than a key player, you will be supporting our CEO and collaborating with the executive team and our Personal Assistant - Office Management.

You will be comfortable in our belief that face to face interaction builds wonderful connection and communication which drive creativity and high quality delivery, so a willingness to commute to our office in Central London as needed is required.
You’ll be a highly-skilled hands-on problem solver who enjoys collaboration and not politics. As a self-starter, and proficient communicator you will shine with maintaining the highest levels of integrity and discretion.

In a nutshell we require all the usual brilliance for this type of role so you will be extremely flexible, agile, and nimble. Displaying a professional and polished demeanour you will exhibit exceptional commitment to accuracy, detail, and follow-up.

The person in this role will handle confidential information so yep we are looking for sound judgement and discretion.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise


Key Requirements
  • Completes a broad variety of administrative tasks for CEO e.g. managing an extremely active / changing calendar; arranging travel; complete reports; and composing and preparing correspondence
  • Take part in executive meetings, capturing relevant notes and important decisions.
  • Be readily available to respond to issues/requests including and ability to keep cool under pressure
  • Manage CEO’s internal and external communications, including correspondence with investors, Board members, and key clients
  • Proactive mindset - this role must anticipate needs as well as respond to them
  • Prepare presentations, statistical analysis, and meeting reports; attend important meetings and distribute recap
  • Strong skills in heavy calendar management
  • Ability to work independently without close supervision
  • Supports executive offsites, events and customer engagements
  • Provide one day a week bi weekly ‘weekend’ support, if required
  • Skills & Expertise (this assist you to assess your experience to what we are looking for)
  • 5+ years executive support experience, reporting to one or more senior executives
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Highly proficient in Slack & Google Apps, particularly Google Calendar, and Google Docs
  • Quick learner - have a “knack” for tech – able to figure out new systems and adapt
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills – poised, professional, and articulate, as you will be representing the personal “brand” of the CEO to eternal partners
  • Nice to have (but not essential)
  • Experience supporting a CEO / COO in tech startup’s, vc or boutique hedge fund
  • Experience working with executives in a fast-paced environment e.g. startup, technology, media, hedge fund or related companies
