The Family Intervention and Support Service provides early help to the most vulnerable children, young people and their families to prevent escalation to statutory social care services in Swindon and provide the right help at the right time
Your next role

As a family worker you will be excited to learn that you will help our vulnerable families achieve outcomes which will change their life opportunities. You will achieve this through writing holistic family assessments and developing with the families, personalised plans. You will co-ordinate targeted support and will regularly review the plan with the families and partner agencies through the Team around the Child meetings.
As we move forward with our development of Community, Family, Youth Hubs as part of Swindon Communities Together, you will work with other flexible and motivated individuals to achieve the best outcomes with children, young people and families.
To succeed in this role, you will need demonstrable experience of; working with and providing support to children, young people and their families. You will also need resilience, skills in risk management, the ability to manage your time well and the ability to prioritise your work.
You will need to be flexible with working hours that fit around the needs of the family, including some evening and weekend work.

You must be fluent in the English language (as a requirement of Part 7 of the Immigration Act “for the effective performance of a customer-facing role”).
