JOB TITLE – Finance Mangement Assistant
MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB
The Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper will be responsible for day to day accounting procedures
Experience & Profile:
- Previous experience in a similar role is required (at least 5 years general accounts experience)
- AAT level 4 or equivalent would be an advantage, though good experience acceptable.
Duties - the post holder will:
- Reconcile bank accounts
- Process entries & nominal ledger accounts
- Code purchase invoices/credits
- Input purchase invoices/credits onto the accounting software system (Xero)
- Reconcile supplier statements & resolve any queries
- Maintain the aged debtors account
- Monthly process journals in Xero
- Cash flow forecasting
- Complete month-end procedures up to & including the trial balance
- Production of monthly management accounts
- Assist during the annual audit process
- Monitor the Finance Mailbox and dealing with queries
- Be Friendly, outgoing and approachable.
Essential skills:
- Experience in a similar role including the use of a recognised accounting system
- Experience in bank, supplier & nominal ledger reconciliations
- Experience in online bank payment processes
- Excellent Excel skills
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- A professional, assertive & confident individual
- Numeracy skills to interpret & analyse data
- Attention to detail
- Strong work ethic
- Discretion and confidentiality.
Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week
Salary: £32,500.00-£37,500.00 per year
