Jersey Talking Therapies (JTT) are currently developing our workforce and it is an exciting time to join our team as a Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our well established talking therapies service and work towards providing psychological treatment for common mental health problems at step 2 intensity.
We are looking for applicants who have enthusiasm for working in a primary care setting, who are adaptable, enjoy variety, and working independently as well as within a team context. We provide high quality supervision, a friendly and supportive work environment with an overall culture of energy, solution focus and excellence in both service delivery and commitment to staff wellbeing.
A combination of remote and in-person accredited training will be provided by a UK university linked to the NHS Improving Access to Psychological Therapies programme (IAPT) for 1-2 days per week over a nine month period.
You will receive regular clinical/management supervision and support from a Senior Clinician as well as benefit from peer support and guidance from other team members.
Please note that the service offers face to face, telephone and video sessions to patients based on clinical need and patient preference. You will be expected to participate in extended hours clinics offered by the service which can include some early morning and late evening clinics from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm on a weekly basis.
In order to be shortlisted for this post, applicants must hold a minimum level 5 qualification or equivalent, ideally in a psychology/mental health related subject and have a minimum of one year of paid or voluntary experience in a role in a mental health setting/equivalent.
We want to recruit a diverse workforce, who are values driven, compassionate and have a desire to deliver high quality care every day. This is a rewarding role and there are a wide range of development and career progression opportunities.
