Junior Product Developer - Arts & Crafts

For this role you will be confident in a product development role with creative flare; working on a variety of projects, new products development and ideas, maintenance and update of existing lines, and management of your product lifecycle. You will be a critical thinker who is dynamic and positive; your ideas ad initiatives will contribute to the success of our brands, the team, the company and the F.I.L.A Group. Excellent organisational skills, great ability to multi-task and work to deadlines are critical to the role. A background in a retail sector of arts and crafts would be preferable. You will be an ambassador of our brands worldwide (presence in over 150 countries).
Your duties will consist of:
- Becoming an expert in the category and understanding the retail arts and crafts market.
- Develop concepts for new product ideas.
- Oversee product development from concept to sampling and launch.
- Designing packaging and promotional activities using Adobe suite.
- Develop packaging and design in line with brand guidelines continually assess packaging innovation and technology.
- Working closely with suppliers for sourcing new products.
- Monitoring and evaluating competitor activity to identify gaps and opportunities for growth.
- Constant analysis of the market and consumer groups to identify on-trend products within the industry and retail market.
- Providing input and execute agreed market strategies.
- Understanding pricing and commercials to ensure profitability of a product.
- Working closely with all teams to provide training and support.
- You will be responsible for the visibility of your products offline and online.
- Setting up products and maintaining systems.
- Creating sales tools and brand presentations and communicating them to the market.
- Meeting customers and delivering impactful presentations.
- Ensuring the delivery of agreed launch times.
- Attending shows in the UK and abroad
- Ensure product testing, compliance and certifications meets industry requirements.
- Supporting the brand and Product Manager in all aspects of product management.
Preferable skills:
- Background in product design and using Adobe Suite.
- A strong commercial mind.
- Experience in Product Management.
- Previous experience working with brands and licenses.
This is a full-time position based at our office in Bracknell, Berkshire. The salary is dependent on experience includes a bonus scheme.
