Although we are dealing with sick children with acute or chronic medical problems daily, there is never a dull moment in Paediatrics. Yes it is challenging but you will work with children (and their parents) ranging from different ages and backgrounds and the fun and laughter you can experience along the way makes it rewarding.
We have 4 fantastic areas within our paediatric unit-you will be working cross site between Sandwell and City Hospitals(with one being your base ward) with the opportunity to rotate between three other areas to enhance your skills.
You will have the chance to work at:
CECU/PAU : Brand new unit with six PAU beds.
Lyndon Ground : 18 bed PAU including an inpatient adolescent area.
Lyndon One : 25 bed inpatient ward with two allocated HDU beds.
Priory Ground and Children's Outpatients cover out patient investigations and day surgery.
So if you are a motivated, enthusiastic to learn, have excellent clinical and communication skills and knowledge we would love for you to join our team.
