The Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen is seeking an experienced Receptionist to provide a warm welcome, helpful and efficient service to guests

As Receptionist your key responsibilities include:
· Providing a friendly and efficient service to guests at all times ensuring company policy and procedures are complied with at all times
· Being knowledgeable to promote the hotel and its facilities to guests, while dealing with guest queries/complaints promptly, referring to the Duty Manager, where appropriate
· Providing accurate shift handovers ensuring all items requiring attention are detailed in handover diary and the shift checklist is completed to required standard
· Carry out float checks and handle all cash transactions accurately throughout the shift including the issue/use of safety deposit boxes
· Being aware of special promotions operating in the hotel, ensuring they offered to maximise occupancy/revenue
· Ensuring all information is communicated to the relevant department in the interest of providing excellent customer service including being aware of specific daily functions/events, in order to deal with enquiries efficiently and effectively
· To be fully aware of and understand Fire, Bomb, Health and Safety and emergency procedures.
What we are looking for:
· Previous experience in a quality hotel
· Excellent communications skills
· The ability to work well under pressure with a positive, ‘can do’ attitude
· Excellent customer service skills
· Experience of using a Front Office Management system, e.g., Opera
· Ability to work on a rota basis, including weekend work. Typical shifts are 07:00-15:30 or 15:00-23:30, as the business requires

The Copthorne Hotel Aberdeen, is a beautifully maintained historic building situated in the heart of Aberdeen’s West End and provides convenient access to surrounding areas. The hotel offers 87 bedrooms, all with modern amenities.
The West End Bistro & Bar offers a warm and friendly atmosphere with something for everyone from our delicious menu, lighter meals are available in the bar area. Our Crystal Function Suite, with private bar is ideal for conferences, exhibitions, private events and weddings.
