Job Description
We are a bespoke consultancy located in Bedford, providing professional fire safety, health and safety, and environmental services and project management support to clients, mostly based in London, but as well as across England.
We are currently seeking junior consultants to train and support our team for residential buildings management including project management, fire safety surveys, and health and safety surveys, and ensuring buildings are kept compliant with current regulations for clients.
We support various clients, mainly purpose built blocks of flats, but also provide support for business and commercial facilities.
Duties will consist of undertaking audits onsite, raising reports, and assisting with various projects as necessary. General business administration and office support may be necessary.
The audits are normally at various sites, mainly in London, but also further away, and sometimes require overnight stays, the report writing and general support is based at the Bedford office.
- You must as a minimum have A Levels and preferably some work experience in fire safety and / or health and safety.
- Experience and knowledge of fire safety and health and safety would be advantageous.
- You should be a committed confident self-lead individual, capable of working on your own, making decisions, and have the ability to communicate clearly and achieve results.
- You should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- You will need to be an all-rounder, flexible, have very good written and verbal communication skills and it is important you are able to work under your own initiative.
- MS Word and Excel knowledge, experience and the ability to write professional reports is essential.
- You will need to be fluent in English writing and grammar.
- Flexibility in hours of work is necessary due to the nature of the work, as travel requirements to sites and client requirements may mean hours will vary when attending sites due to site and travel requirements. The work can average approximately 50% travelling to sites.
- A UK car drivers license is useful for travelling to sites not accessible by train.
- It may be possible to offer a UK sponsorship visa if you are able to relocate to the UK.
