Bakkavor's Group Services functions are based in Spalding, Lincolnshire with a small number of people working at the Group's Head Office in London. There are around 740 working across functions such as IT, Procurement, Finance, HR, Technical, Marketing and Administration.
A fantastic opportunity for a Field Service Maintenance Engineer has become available to join the Bakkavor Group covering all sites across the UK. The business uses highly automated assets and technology to produce a wide range of products for all major retailers. The business’s across the Bakkavor estate range in size and complexity. You will be required to work on all of Group UK’s sites that have key assets, ensuring all assets are maintained to optimise production levels. You will conduct planned and predictive maintenance to prevent issues occurring and reactive maintenance dependent on business criticality.
In this highly autonomous role, you will manage your own diary against the business needs, be self-sufficient and highly organised. This role will require mobility to travel the UK and will require overnight stays as and when needed.
Accountabilities:
- Conduct planned maintenance of food and drink processing and packaging assets.
- Conduct predictive maintenance of food and drink processing and packaging assets.
- Respond and support business critical breakdowns of food and drink processing and packaging assets. Review reactive maintenance or corrective actions to resolve deviation.
- Identify faults (electrical, mechanical, software, instrumentation, automation, and pneumatics) on food and drink processing and packaging assets, action as required.
- Repair and/or replace component parts for food and drink processing and packaging assets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects to optimise food and drink assets or processes.
- Contribute to technical performance reviews in collaboration with other functions and stakeholders.
- Support maintenance and operational team members in developing engineering technical competence.
- Maintain engineering documentation and contribute to internal and external audits.
