Our client a global facilities service provider are looking to appoint a proactive Soft Services Manager to oversee a modern office building in central Leeds. This is initially a temporary post as the client are looking to bring someone in very soon however this role could turn permanent for the right applicant.
Core Responsibilities for the Soft Services Manager include:
- Manage the delivery of all services in your specific property to provide consistently high levels of performance that meet contractual obligations to customers and the strategic objectives of the region.
- Communicate clearly and positively with staff at all levels to create a focus on business goals and build an environment where all staff are valued for their contribution.
- Build a network of close partnerships with customers, developing strong account management and encouraging multi-level relationships between all services, team, and customer teams.
- Manage sub-contractors and monitor performance against SLA’s and KPI’s.
- Oversee and produce budgets and financial reports for contractor costings and projects.
- Carry out daily site walk rounds to ensure that all service streams are delivering the standards required and at every opportunity identify enhancements through technology.
- Ensure all Elogbook quotes and tasks are actioned promptly to ensure none become overdue.
- Complete Safe Site Inspections and Healthchecks monthly.
- Ensure all equipment failures are dealt with promptly to ensure minimum disruption to the day to day service provision.
- Support the client with any audits such as H&S, Environmental and Waste etc.
- Take responsibility for reviewing the safe system of work prior to the commencement of the work activity.
- Take responsibility for ensuring that plant and equipment is maintained and fit for purpose.
- Collation and ownership of the area Health & Safety plan for security. Facilitate quarterly H&S meeting which are auditable and displayed as per legislation.
The ideal Soft Services Manager will have previous experience overseeing large multi tenanted buildings, have managed teams of mixed facilities staff (primarily soft services) and previously been responsible for managing budgets, quotes and invoicing. Holding a health & safety qualification such as IOSH would also be beneficial.
As this is a temporary role the client are offering an hourly rate up to £17.69 per hour (equivalent salary £35,000 per annum). The client are looking for someone to start as soon as possible.
