The Pathway College is focused on delivering a high-quality student experience to achieve academic success, to realise this aim we a seeking a passionate Engineering lecturer to join us in a Maternity Cover capacity.
A little more about the role: As a Lecturer, you will contribute to face to face teaching in a range of Engineering modules at level 3. Students study these modules alongside English and academic skills to help prepare them to join undergraduate study at the main campus. What you’ll get up to:
Plan, prepare and deliver learning across the programmes delivered at the Pathway College. Provide academic and pastoral support to students, responding promptly to all queries and being available during work hours. Complete any administration required including registers, student feedback, progress monitoring, sponsor reports, etc. The module lead role involves oversight of the virtual learning environment and liaising with other class tutors to standardise assessments, monitor student progress and collate/input assessment data.
What you’ll bring to the team: Please see the attached job description for the lecturer role at the pathway college. It is essential that you have undergraduate qualification in an engineering or maths subject and ideally you would have worked with international students at level 3, have English for Academic Purposes experience and have a strong interest in the development and transition of learners into level 4. Candidates who teach on level 3 will need to be proficient up to level 4 in the following subjects.

A little more about us: QA Higher Education works in partnership with Northumbria University to manage and deliver an International Foundation Programme (IFP) an International Year One in Business and Pre Masters-Programmes in Business, Engineering and Computing. Successful completion of the IFP programmes allows entry onto a range of undergraduate programmes at the University. The International Year One allows entry into level 5. Pre Masters into a range of level 7 programmes.
