Phyllis Tuckwell provides supportive and end of life care for people living with an advanced or terminal illness. Based in Farnham and Guildford, we serve a population of 550,000 across West Surrey and North East Hampshire.
Chaplain
24 hours per week worked over 3 days (one of which must be Friday)
Salary £18,787 per annum for 24 hours per week. WTE £29,355 per annum based on 37.5 hours a week
Phyllis Tuckwell is looking to appoint a Chaplain to join the existing Pastoral Care and Chaplaincy team to provide pastoral, spiritual, and religious care to patients, predominantly in the community services and in our inpatient unit when needed. Our community service includes patients attending Living Well groups.
The successful candidate will:
- Be able to manage and offer spiritual care to a caseload of patients of all faiths and for those without an acknowledged faith.
- Have a broad understanding of theology, a good knowledge of interfaith dialogue and a breadth of spirituality that encompasses humanism and secularity.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a very flexible multidisciplinary team.
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Have good IT skills.
- Have their own car.
