About you

You will have a proven track record in both quality and people management. Ability to work flexibly to meet fluctuating business needs. Ability to use your initiative and work effectively as part of a team are also essential for this rewarding role.

Main duties and responsibilities:

To recruit, manage and effectively develop the quality control team in accordance with site policies and procedures
To ensure effective quality control staff cover
To ensure full adherence to Angus Soft Fruits quality management system
To support Angus Soft Fruits customer visits and audits
To be responsible for internal audits and implementation of corrective actions
To supervise the preparation of customer samples as required
To ensure efficient document control and distribution of current documents
To ensure adherence to Angus Soft Fruits residue testing schedule
To ensure daily stock quality monitoring
To participate in daily stock selection and management
To ensure estimated waste is updated and communicated to relevant stakeholders
To maintain safe and clean work areas
To complete all documentation accurately and within agreed timeframes
To work collaboratively with other departments.
To attend relevant meetings and cascade information to teams as appropriate.
To proactively participate in the individual performance management process, achieving SMART targets and continuous personal developments.
To fully participate in the development and achievement of the Salford Priors Team Vision.
To undertake any other duty commensurate with the role
