Accountant Jobs London are thrilled to be partnering with a luxury international hospitality group, to find a Financial Controller for their 5* hotel in Central London to join them on a permanent basis. The hotel has undergone significant refurbishment, relaunched and is now in a very good position.
This person will be key in driving the performance of the hotel and responsible for leading the operational finance team. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you must ensure all sites are well managed and performing in line with expectations. The budgets you control and forecasts you produce will enable your senior non-financial colleagues to make decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strong leadership while developing the finance team, promoting best practice
- Maintaining financial controls, produce monthly balance sheet and cash flows
- Implement new and develop existing financial systems to accurately report financial data to decision makers
- Prepare budgets, forecasts and other statements
- Identify trends in data, then recommend performance improvements
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA) with at least 5 years’ experience in the finance team of a hotel. Working in large hotels is a bonus, as is experience anywhere with 5-stars. You must be hands-on, adaptable and flexible in your approach. A good communicator who copes well in a fast-paced environment would thrive in this position.
