Job Description
Elite Marquees is seeking a reliable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Marquee installer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and removal of marquees in various locations, including wedding venues, government sites, and festivals. The candidate should be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors, have strong attention to detail, and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely and efficiently install and remove marquees at various event locations
Transport marquees to and from event sites using company vehicles
Work with team members to ensure that marquees are erected according to the set specifications
Ensure that all equipment is in good working order before, during, and after the event
Assist with site preparation, including levelling the ground and making necessary measurements
Coordinate with event organisers and other vendors to ensure that the marquee is set up in the correct location
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installation or removal
Perform regular maintenance on equipment to ensure that it is in good working condition
Ensure that all safety procedures are followed during the installation and removal process
Maintain a clean and organised work environment
Qualifications:
The applicant must hold a valid drivers licence allowing the applicant to operate vehicles which weighs between 3.5 to 7.5 tonne.
Prior experience in event set up or construction is preferred
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in all weather conditions
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends
Attention to detail and commitment to quality work
