Company Description
Can you help Sam to remain independent in his home in the Norwood, Sheffield Area?
We are currently recruiting local Care Professionals to join a supportive team assisting our Client Sam. Sam is in his 30’s and has lived with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy all his life. He lives in a happy home with his Mum and Dad. It is really important that the successful candidate treats Sam as the bright young man he is. Sam loves his technology, photography, social media and Sheffield United!
We would encourage local non-drivers as well as drivers to apply.
Sam requires companionship and loves chatting about photography, sport and gaming. He enjoys being around people who are relaxed, friendly and easy to get on with. Sam’s sleeping pattern can vary and therefore he needs assistance on hand 24 hours per day. The shift pattern required to support Sam will be a 9:30am start to 9:30pm 12 hour shift, twice a week.
Part of this role is also to assist Sam with his personal care, cough assist and medication. Sam requires caring individuals who can help him with dignity and respect and is keen to keep as much of his independence as possible. He is more than able to tell you his needs and the type of help he requires. He can move position to help with his care with the aide of a hoist – one of his wishes is that he one day can get back into the bath for a nice soak – as well as visiting his beloved football team’s grounds!
We would encourage local non-drivers as well as drivers to apply.
