JOB PURPOSE
Synexa works in a collaborative manner with clients to provide customized, flexible and multi-faceted biomarker solutions. We use innovative approaches and validated equipment to answer client-specific questions related to biomarkers at each level of the biological continuum. The scientific team at Synexa are at the forefront of this, responsible for the development and validation of bioanalytical tests to meet the company or client’s needs.
The main purpose and objective of the laboratory technician is to support the laboratory operations team conducting bio-analytical tests used in translational and/or clinical studies and day-to-day administration duties. This opportunity requires individuals with the right mindset to support the smooth running of the laboratory.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Perform assays as per in-house standard operating procedures (SOPs) and validated protocols with minimal supervision involving various biological samples.
- Perform isolations, cryopreservation, thawing and counting of human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs).
- Receiving, labelling, sorting and storing biological samples as specified by SOPs and GCLP.
- Perform good housekeeping (GHK) of the laboratory.
- Maintenance, set up and proper use of instruments and laboratory space.
- Management, monitoring and ordering of consumable stock in the labs.
- Administrative duties including writing and maintaining study documentation, printing and filing reports and data entry.
- Compliance with GCLP, SOPs, company standards and policies.
