Maternity Cover March 2023 to March 2024
We’re looking for a Social Media and Content Manager to work in the Department of Marketing and Communications, to lead the University’s social media strategy to increase student recruitment, build the University’s reputation and create a sense of belonging at our University.
Reporting to the Head of Digital Channels and Content, you will lead a dynamic team of content producers and videographers responsible for creating content that promotes our university and drives recruitment to study here.
Key responsibilities:
- Content strategy: Develop and implement the University’s social media and video strategy, managing campaigns across teams and leading a collaborative, audience led, multi-channel approach.
- Content planning: You will plan content aligned to the University’s institutional calendar that will engage, educate and entertain our target audiences.
- Content creation: You will lead the team and work with key colleagues across the department and/or university to develop engaging content to be distributed across multiple channels.
- Monitoring and community engagement: You will be responsible for the management of the University’s social media channels to engage with our target audiences.
- Reporting and analysing performance: You will analyse the performance of content against established set KPIs to continually grow and improve on results.
- Collaboration and best practice: You will collaborate with our diverse communities to build content that is representative of all communities, promotes inclusion and celebrates the communities in which we serve.
Experience:
- First degree in Marketing and/or marketing qualification.
- Experience managing social media platforms for marketing purposes and developing content for a range of platforms.
- Experience using Facebook Creator Studio, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube.
- Experience using a Social Media Content Management System.
- Love of social media and keeping up to date with the latest trends.
- A passion and commitment to promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
