Innovate Recycle – Senior Administrator
Reporting to: Chief Executive
Location: 2 Lodge Way, Lodge Farm Industrial Estate, Northampton NN5 7US
Remuneration: £25,000 to £27,000pa

Role Description
The Senior Administrator reports directly to the CEO and works closely with members of the Executive Leadership Team and the Board of Innovate Recycle Ltd, providing information management support to enhance their effectiveness. The role provides a valuable contribution to building our young carpet and plastics recycling business and helping the company to establish a position as a leading advocate for the UK’s circular economy.
The Senior Administrator position will be highly visible and varied providing a comprehensive and often confidential administrative management role. Initially part of a small team setting up and establishing the company, the role is expected to grow into additional responsibilities and opportunities as Innovate Recycle establishes its market position as the UK’s leading post-consumer and industrial carpet recycler.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive administration and personal support to the Executive, the Chair and Board of our developing technology start-up company
- In particular provide support to the Chief Executive; diary, managing correspondence, record keeping, engagement with stakeholders
- Diary management – personal and company, meeting set up, travel & accommodation arrangements
- Customer liaison and event support, working with the members of the Executive
- Managing formal company meetings - agenda drafting, papers circulations, minute taking at meetings and circulation after the meeting
- Implement and manage a comprehensive online company filing system – ensure legislative compliance with all record keeping and filing and security of information
- Support for the maintenance of the day-to-day company financial transactions and record keeping
- Support for the implementation and maintenance of the company human resources structures, procedures and record keeping
- Take responsibility for the set up and management of the Innovate Recycle office within our first operating site on Lodge Farm Industrial Estate in Northampton. Work with the CEO and members of the Executive to develop and maintain the office facility.
- Build a headline understanding of the core purposes of the business; recycling polypropylene and other materials from end-of-life carpet and linked products; and championing the circular economy, in the carpet industry and in the increasing use of recycled plastics.
Experience and Qualifications
- Educated to A level or equivalent or above
- Motivated and flexible, part of a multi-tasking team launching and establishing this technology start up; willing to adapt and take on a range of tasks to support the development of the company.
- Proven experience as an office administrator, ideally in an SME, start-up environment – and confident to deal with and establish credibility with individuals at all levels and from all backgrounds with tact, diplomacy, and very strong levels of organisation – a proven presenter and communicator.
- A very high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- IT literate in Microsoft Office, including a working understanding of Microsoft Teams. Able to draft correspondence with minimal supervision and to understand the motivations and markets for the company and its products.
- A good listener, able to grasp the detail of conversation and precis that in minutes or other forms of reporting.
- An organisational innovator, able to propose new ideas and act on them for the benefit of the company and its development
The role will be based at the Innovate facility on Lodge Farm Industrial Estate in Northampton and the successful candidate will be expected to primarily work from this location, but with flexibility when appropriate to work from home.
