Permanent Contract | £22,369 to £24,054 per annum, pro rata (Scale E) | Various hours available | A range of part time opportunities from 15 to 32.75 hours per week are available
Reablement Support Work is a very different area of adult social care. Our friendly team of Reablement Support Workers help people to get back on their feet after a long illness or hospital stay.
You will be part of the Norfolk First Response team who work with adults in Norfolk in their own homes for up to 6 weeks. We help people to regain skills they may have lost following an illness or hospital admission. We aim to re-able people to regain their independence as much as possible while also reviewing their ongoing care needs.
Working to an agreed plan of action, you will visit people in their own home with the aim of helping people to be able to live their normal life within 6 weeks. You will help people with daily living activities such as washing and dressing, meal and drink preparation and making sure they take their medication. You will report back on progress to your office-based colleagues, who will sign them off, or recommend further services as necessary.
You will be asked to work morning and evening shifts, alternative weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. Positions are available for between 15 and 32.75 hours per week, averaged over two weeks.
Reablement Support Workers are based out of a Norfolk First Response office, but work in people’s homes. Together the team covers the whole of Norfolk. You don’t have to come into the office every day and we carefully plan your calls so that you have a manageable area to cover during your shift. You will have a rota of calls to make and will need to drive from call to call (paid mileage).
You must hold a full driving licence. Full training including an in-depth, fully paid induction will be given before you start.
We employ Reablement Support workers all over Norfolk to work out of the most appropriate base.
