Designated Safeguarding Match Day Steward
What will you be doing?
Here at Liverpool Football Club, we have exciting opportunities for a Designated Safeguarding Steward to join our Safety Team for Match Days. We are a multi-award-winning club in respect of our stewarding operation: our stewarding team is amongst the best in the Premier League, and we look to maintain that reputation going forward.
Main Responsibilities
- To act as a point of contact for Safeguarding incidents or concerns within your designated area of the stadium footprint.
- To record and refer appropriate information to the stadium DSL for action or consideration.
- To disseminate relevant information to your area of the matchday stewarding provision.
- To observe practice of colleagues when engaging with children, young people, and vulnerable groups and recording this appropriately.
- To assist with relevant procedural reviews and Safeguarding audits throughout the season.
- Commit to continued professional development to ensure knowledge is live and current.
- To communicate all issues and concerns to the Designated Lead for Safeguarding – Stadium Operations.
The Ideal Candidate
Who are we looking for?
- Someone who has a personal commitment to spectator safety and desire to deliver a safe event.
- Good observational skills.
- Good I.T. Skills in respect of on-line reporting of incidents.
- Can compile accurate, well written reports.
- Someone who has a personal commitment to safeguarding and protecting children and vulnerable persons through a caring and compassionate approach to all people.
