We are looking for systems engineers to join our expanding Digital Operations team. We have a number of vacancies and are looking for an individual with an interest in data and want to transition and deliver these solutions through the use of technology and computer scientists/engineers who want to take the next step in their career working with and delivering innovation through the use of data and data collection.
As part of this role, you will be working alone and as part of a team to understand business requirements while developing applications using the AVEVA / OSIsoft PI System, while liaising with clients to identify solutions and enhancements for their systems that are appropriate to the needs of the clients.

The role will involve opportunities to:
- Develop industry-leading technical expertise in real-time data and analytics.
- Work closely with clients and Subject Matter Experts to develop fit-for-purpose solutions to solve real-world problems.
- Lead the design, development, programming and testing of major components of mission critical innovative solutions, including data capture, storage, analytics and visualisation to solve real-world engineering problems.
- Work as a technical lead with responsibility for troubleshooting and resolving a wide range of challenges for assigned solution areas.
- Design and configure cyber-secure infrastructure and communications between solution components using industry standard protocols.
- Develop a thorough understanding of ITI's operational procedures and ensure compliance with both internal and external standards.
- Lead installation and commissioning of solutions on customer sites, onsite or remotely dependent on customer requirements.
- Provide support and mentoring for more junior engineers.
- Provide knowledge leadership in specific areas of expertise - supporting, coaching and training others in that area.
- Provide general technical support to Business Development colleagues for bids and campaigns.
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
- Good communication skills, comfortable engaging directly with a range of users.
- Basic understanding of Oil, Gas, Nuclear or Power industries.
- Electrical & Electronic or Electrical or Software Engineering degree (min 2:1) or similar qualification for example Computer Science or Computing related degree.
- Experience working with real-time data, especially with the AVEVA / OSIsoft PI System. (strongly preferred)
- Professional Accreditation with recognised organisation (IET/BCS) or provide suitable evidence of alternative CPD. (preferred)
- Experience with software development and configuration tools, methods and processes. (preferred)
