Lighting Technician – ATIK, Colchester
REKOM UK are looking for a passionate Lighting Technician at ATIK, Colchester.
ATIK in Colchester is conveniently located in the heart of the town centre. The venue, which at one time was a theatre, still has most of the original ornate plasterwork in situ. This décor really enhances ATIK’s offering as its balcony allows customers to look over the dancefloor in the main room on a packed night. REKOM UK are looking for a Lighting Technician who is looking to take a step up and implement a wider strategic approach and work alongside our DJ and management team to further develop your career.
The Lighting Technician will be the heart of our entertainment offering by operating our lighting and effects equipment to the best of its’ potential and creating an amazing atmosphere for our customers.
The right candidate will be self-motivated, a good communicator, well presented, professional, with excellent operational standards and attention to detail, and should lead by example.

REKOM UK is a national business that focuses on local decision making. With a HUB office support network, our management teams are given the full support to maximise their business performance.
· Offer an nightly pay of up to £180 depending on experience;
· You will join the largest late-night operator in Denmark, Norway, Finland and the UK; and
· We will supply many support functions via our HUB office and senior management team.
Your duties will include but are not limited to:
· Working alongside our DJs operating the lighting equipment to create a fantastic atmosphere for our customers;
· ensuring your workstation is not left unattended;
· ensuring that all areas are dry and clear of spillages or broken glass. If a spillage or hazard is observed it should be reported to the bar team as soon as possible;
· liaising with the DJ to ensure that the usage of lighting matches the music being played and creates the correct atmosphere;
· maintain a clean and tidy DJ booth;
· report any equipment defects or failures to management as soon as possible to enable them to be rectified; and
· operate CO2 and confetti cannons if used within the venues but only once trained to do so; and
· ensure all work is completed to the highest standard.
All applicants must be well presented, professional, a good communicator with excellent overall operational standards. Candidates must eligible to work in the UK.
This is a part time and permanent role that will see you working evenings and weekends, so you must be flexible in terms of the hours required of you. This is by no means a 9 to 5 role and all applicants should take this into consideration. Our team love what they do! We have a passion for providing an experience second to none.
