About The Role
We are currently recruiting for Machine Operatives at our potato packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire.
You will be responsible for delivering performance through processes and machinery, ensuring safe and cost effective practices are adopted. You will also share your specialist knowledge with others to continuously improve efficiencies.

Operate Vertical Form Fill and Seal (VFFS) Machinery and Multihead weighers, and as such experience in operation of these would be an advantage but full training will be given to the successful candidate if need be.
Report to the Production Shift AND Team Leaders and be required to manage a small group of staff and be responsible for all relevant production paperwork along with packed product quality
Hold an organized approach to work and a desire to succeed in a busy production environment is essential.

Expected Start Date : Immediate.
Hours of work: 6 am -6 pm, 4 days on, 4 days off, rolling shift pattern.
SALARY
£11.69 per hour

Our story began in 1948, when Albert Bartlett started our family tradition of selling good-quality produce by setting up a beetroot-boiling operation in Coatbridge, Scotland.
Nine years later, Albert’s experience and expertise helped him grow the business, and along with his two sons, Jimmy and Alex, he found a new home for their flourishing company in Airdrie, Scotland.
On that very same site, we made history when we became the first factory in Britain to pre-pack carrots in a plastic bag.
Over the years, our expanding business has stayed true to Albert’s spirit of innovation and passion for quality, and we’ve built on our experience.
Today, we proudly supply potatoes from our network of farmers and growers across England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Jersey.

Over 70 years since Albert started the business, we remain proudly independent and the fourth generation of the Bartlett family is now working in the company. Our headquarters are in Airdrie, only four miles or so from our founder’s original business.
